Welcome to Jump Ahead Academy!

We are a one of a kind, neighborhood fitness center that opened in September, 2007.

We love kids, we love athletic activities, and we believe that children should be introduced to these activities during the many developmental phases of their lives. Jump Ahead Academy was designed to facilitate this concept with a progression of activities through the ages of 3 months to 18 years.
Essentially, a baby could begin at Jump Ahead while still in the womb with pre-natal massage; graduate into a mommy & me Pilates class as an infant; start gymnastics as a toddler; be introduced to sports in early childhood; circuit weight training as a pre-teen; and sport-specific conditioning as a teenager/adult.
Plus through it all, there is the additional support and offerings of a licensed physical therapist and massage therapist. We have worked very hard to accommodate children of all ages in their quest for health, fitness and fun. If you don’t see what you and your friends are looking for on our schedule, let us know and we’ll try to create it for you! We also take great pride in our clean, environmentally friendly facility and make frequent donations to the local schools of our members. We look forward to jumping with you soon! "Sophia has increased her strength from the rings and her endurance from the trampoline. The socialization with other kids is great for her development as well. Overall, fun with exercise. I highly recommend it for any child from 1-5 years of age."  Jim Steuer, father of 2-year old Sophia

"My kids love Jump Ahead. Not only do they get a good workout, they learn skills that contribute to their overall flexibility, coordination and strength. Jump Ahead has started them on a lifelong path of healthy living. As a parent, I greatly admire Jump Ahead's founders. Their knowledge of gymnastics and the working of the human body is exceptional. Katy's enthusiasm is contagious, and the breadth of her abilities is outstanding. I highly recommend Jump Ahead."  Mara S. Georges, mother of 4.5-year old Demi & 7.5-year old Mikey

"I love bringing my son to Jump Ahead Academy because he has a ton of fun and works up such a sweat!! The instructors are the best out there and give Liam so much love and attention that I appreciate so much."  Dana Mowat, mother of 2-year old Liam

Becky Holleb: 10-years old

  Cesca Butterworth: 10-months old

Elijah has attended Jump Ahead Academy since it first opened and gets so excited when he realizes it's a 'jump ahead' day. He loves all of his teachers and talks about them often. The neighborhood location can't be beat. Stephanie Klein, mother of 5 1/2-year old Elijah

"My kids ranging in age from 2 to 10 have loved Jump Ahead Academy.  It has been a great experience for them to get an opportunity to do gymnastics and play in a fun and relaxed environment.  They have exceptional coaches who make it an exciting experience.  What a terrific addition to our neighborhood!" Margery and Rich Feitler, parents of 10-year old Abby, 6-year old Nicole, 5-year old Alexander & 2-year old Kyle (not pictured)

Jaren Pressman: 1 1/2-years old

JD loooves "sports class"!  As a very active and fearless kid, JD has greatly benefited from various programs at Jump Ahead.  He has channeled his endless playground energy into learning skills and developing coordination in a variety of athletics.  It has truly served our little man well!  Lyndsay Camins, mom to 3-year old JD

Liam: 11-years old

"When I joined Jump Ahead, my son was only 6 months old.  I had not yet joined a class and was desperate to get out of the house and for us to socialize a little.  Eme was so great in signing us up for a class and helping me select one that was just right for us -- even down to the day and classmates, knowing which class was filled with which children who would be most accepting and gentile to a baby who couldn't even sit up yet!

From there my expectations were blown away.  The coaches have been so enthusiastic in all of my son's development and have seen him start as a inexperienced baby with little to no skill to a walking (!) boy.  The classes are fun and there are enough things to do that the 45 minutes go by quickly.  Not to mention the kids are exercising without knowing it and really using muscles and getting a great foundation to healthy lives.  It's clear these girls have tapped into their passion and are so good and encouraging with all of the kids, it keeps me coming back for more." Sarah Waters, mother of 1-year old Logan

Ella Katz: 8-years old

I knew my little guy was going to love it.  What’s not to love, running faster, jumping higher, feeling stronger, all with hockey sticks, tennis rackets, soccer balls, baseball tees, and a giant trampoline thrown in the mix.  What I didn’t know was how much my older kids would love it.
They love having their own place to run around and work off some of the stresses and strains of school.  They love trying new skills in the gym and showing off new accomplishments.  They love getting stronger without worrying who’s the strongest, more coordinated without having to compare themselves to anything except their best effort.  They leave the gym tired, hungry, and feeling great.  I envy them.
Martha Gardner, mother of Mason: 4-years old (pictured above left), Senna: 6-years old & Zoe: 8-years old (pictured above right)

"Grant and Ellie love Jump Ahead and still call it their "new gym" even though they have been going there since it opened.  They love the classes, the teachers but they really love 'date night'.  They think it is their date night and look forward to it.  I have been so happy with the personal attention and relationships that we get from everyone at Jump Ahead and I have referred many people there." :) Mia, mother of 5 1/2-year old Grant and 3 1/2-year old Ellie

"We love Jump Ahead. The smaller class size means each kid gets lots of attention from the instructor and lots time on the equipment. It is an exciting and encouraging atmosphere. I feel like there is a "can do" spirit that each child leaves with. Plus, it is a great addition to the neighborhood." Julie Speck, mother of 5-year old Logan

We have been bringing our daughter to Jump Ahead Academy since it opened a year ago.   It offers a fun, safe, clean environment that you don't always find.  The owners, Katy and Eme are great with the kids and they offer classes that suit different age groups and needs.  My daughter will be 3 soon and we look forward to taking the next class that will be fun, but also challenging!  Debbie Dennis, mother of 3-year old Sophia

"Monte and Ripley never miss a week of Jump Ahead's Sports Class as it channels their abundant energy into learning the basics of a variety of sports, practices hand eye co-ordination, all combined with physical activity in a relaxed setting that gets them active and boosts their confidence every week. But more importantly, its just a lot of physically active fun for everyone. The way Coach Eme engages and encourages the kids to concentrate and participate ensures they get the most fun out of every class. Coach Eme is a Star, and her passion for her classes and her Academy never fail to shine through." Mark Watson, father of 5-year old Monte & 3-year old Ripley

"I am so glad friends introduced us to Jump Ahead Academy.  My daughter looks forward to her class every week.  She thinks it is great because she is having fun and she knows it is good for her physical development.  The class is certainly helping to improve her strength, coordination, flexibility and endurance.  On top of that, what I like best as a parent is that it has boosted her confidence in her physical abilities and it is providing a great foundation for a lifelong positive attitude toward fitness.  Katy’s expertise in fitness and physical health, coupled with her ability to connect with kids in a fun way makes her an outstanding instructor."
Dana Cohen, mother of 10 1/2-year old Emily
